Goa: Afternoon Writing

After yesterday’s challenge to write stream-of-consciousness for 30 minutes, I’ve rediscovered journalling as a habit that I love and used to do quite often. I got through about half of the Artist’s Way a few years ago, during a difficult period where I was looking for a creative outlet. Writing without a filter was extremely cathartic and clarifying, and a great exercise for all types of transition, happy or frustrating.

I went to my thatched beach hut to get my notebook to write on the porch, overlooking the river. Apparently someone else was doing their afternoon writing as well…
